    My mom was going through some old envelopes of photos and found from my fourth birthday. As you can see I'm proudly displaying exactly what I had asked for... A Generation 2 Megatron.

    I remember I dropped him twice right after I had opened him. The thing's a tough sumbitch in tank mode. It didn't have a scratch. I don't have him anymore, but I do still have the instruction booklet and three missiles.

    Classic!

    I wish I had some pics of myself proudly displaying beloved childhood toys like this. I think my parents preferred to keep our toys out of the photos for some reason.

    ^ Seconded. It makes my day to see posts like this instead of the usual "This sucks because....".

    We should start a whole thread where we post pics like this with the accompanying stories. Great stuff dude.

    lol cool man. Wish I had old TF pics from the days.

    Having a G2 Megs at age 4 would be pretty awesome.

    I've almost thought about seeking him out again. I couldn't believe it when she found that picture. Where did those 19 years go? :lol

    That's a sweet b-day gift! I just recently traded for a MIB G2 Megs which upgraded the one I bought about 10 years ago. I've always really liked him from the G2 bunch :)

    Here's a photo of me (not my b-day, but just me hanging out) when I was 6:

    Happy belated b-day, btw :D

    I wish I had some photos from back then. It's nice to see these...definitely not a thread you'd see everyday.

    SQ-That is awesome. The original poster's story was great, but for us older guys that were there from the beginning, that's great to see. I was 6 also when this whole phenomenon hit. I don't have any pics scanned in from any of my old B-days (I need to go steal some from my mother's house), but in the meantime, for us old guys who were there from the beginning, here's some pics I found on Tfans of what the toy aisles used to look like, enjoy:

    Thanks, man :)  I was 5 years old in 1984. I don't have the blue Gobot dune buggy in the photo :) (), and that Prime got trashed from me playing with it so much. I'm very proud to say that other than Prime, each of these have been in my collection since then or I've added them since then (Prime was the only one who took one for the team :lol );

    Mom has other photos of me and TFs. I may try and get ahold of em, the next time I go home. :) /thread hijack

    Damn SQ7, I never had a haul like that. I did however also get G2 Optimus Prime for my B-day that year. I don't why I wasn't holding both of them in that photo... Ehh, I was 4. Although it would of been cool if I was born like ten years earlier ( '77 instead of '87 ) . I should be careful about what I say. Watch I'll find some kind of genie and then grow up to Thundercats fan... HOOOOOOO!

    Oh, that wasn't one haul! It was me just playing with what I had at the time (note there aren't any Decepticons in the photo, for example). It wasn't everything I had, but a good representation of it.

    Do you have any photos of your G2 Prime from then? I'd like to see it! That's one of the remaining figures I still need to complete from G2.

    Agreed, but check out how happy Megs is :)
