I never even knew He-Man season sets were on DVD

I saw season 1 sets at Future Shop the other day.And saw no harm in picking a set up for myself to watch.

    It's a pretty cool show far,I forgot what a decent show He-Man was :)

I'll definately have to track down season 2 sets later on.

I hope She-Ra gets the same season set treatment too. That way I can have the complete series plus the Secret of the sword movie.

One thing I like about 80's He-Man is that is episodic. You don't have to watch every episode you can pick and choose :D

Anyone else have the season sets?

I picked up the 10 Best of DVD they released last year, and thank god I did. It reminded me how bad he man really was. I used to love that show, but seeing it agian. haha The animation was abd, and there was no continuity. I'm still hoping for a She-Ra though.

    :lol :

True, but it's not like most of the 80's cartoons were known for continuity anyway

The only 80's toon I can think of that has continuity is Thundercats

And say what you want about He-Man's animation. But at least the animation was consistant.

I have 10 best, S1V1, S1V2 and S2V1. Hopefully, the last set S2V2 will be released later in the fall to round out all 130 episodes. She-Ra will get the same treatment and should be releasing a 10 best, including the Secret of the Sword mini series within a month or two.

I read about that on the He-Man.org message board. That some season1 volume 1 sets had some problems. But then again the thread about that was created almost 6 months ago

However I tested EACH DVD in the S1V1 set.And they all take me to themenu screen. So I assume that means the DVD works.Plus I didn't see any scratches on any of the 6 discs

So I say go for it

My thoughts exactly. I bought the 10 best and watched maybe one and a half episodes.. Good god that cartoon was bad..

The only good thing to come out of He-Man was the remake they did several years ago.. now THAT was a good cartoon.

Thanks for the reply! I will be picking this set up at the end of the month then! :D

I know the cartoon is kind of cheesy but it sure brings back tons of memories!

    That it does :D

And honestly He-Man's no cheesier then any other 80's toon.It was the 80's everything from fashion to music was cheesy :lol

Ans since He-Man sets have been out for a while. It'd be odd for them to not have fixed the mistakes before distributing more DVDs.

But I guess I'll see once I watch 'em.But the fact my DVD player reads the disc is a good sign IMPO :)

He-Man and She-Ra are the fruitiest cartoons of the 80's, hands down.

When I was a kid wakin up to watch cartoons in the 80s, it was all about Transformers (first and foremost), Thundercats, Silverhawks, He-Man & She-Ra, Ghostbusters and Turtles. 80s cartoons were so full of imagination and fresh concepts. They were something worth growing up with. Today's toons are pretty throw away.
Anyway, I'm not going to say 80s He-Man wasn't corny, but I'd still like to get a hold of some.
