Just a little teaser (Custom Slipstream)

Hey folks,

I'm glad to be back from a week of training. MAN there's plenty to catch up on these threads.

Amidst all the ROTF ravages and megatrons, I wanna put in something a little different in flavor.


Teaser pics.

Her face shape is presently too long, grotesque and rough. She lacked the 'anime' feel that I was aiming for, so I'll be sanding and reshaping her to my tastes.

After this, I plan to do more than just a normal repaint. Especially since she's female, I have some ideas to make her much more feminine-like. Expect some bling. And flowers. And maybe a scent of rose fragrance.
I kid, I kid.

I would love comments and suggestions!

The face is still long, and it scares the shit out of me, I think the lips are too big.

 

Focus on lip SHAPE, not size.

I'm looking forward to seeing what sort of mods you try out. My version of Slipstream was just a straight repaint except for the modified head. I shaved down the chin and painted on the lips. Feel free to take a look here to compare notes! I wasn't confident enough to try altering anything else. I'm pumped to see someone take a more ambitious approach!

I'd agree with David, though; the lips are very wide right now, sort of a fish look, if that makes sense. It'll be tough molding them on such a small head, but you've already got a great start there. Good luck!

 

Meet the Raisins!

 

Hey guys, guess it's high time for an update. Living 2 separate lives is quite a bitch, I'm sure lots of you know what I mean.

But I finally managed to scrounge up some extra time for susan:



Yep, I shaved down the raisin   and gave it a polish. What you see here is the approximate colour; the pale, sickly purple complexion that we all know and love. I'm still not happy with the paint job though. Gonna sand down and fix.

Ahh Gizmo, I was tossing about the idea of Slipstream in my head until I saw yours. I thought there was going to be a flurry of susans so I best get started on mine before things got out of hand. I love your interpretation  

So I this is my conclusion for the head. Will be feminizing the body soon, but gosh yes it's quite a challenge. May have to make some compromises but we'll see how it goes.

 

Looking good so far. Still needs a bit of purple though, but keep up the good work!

 

Ha, well, glad I could help, I guess! Considering the number of repaints and kitbashes using the TFA Starscream mold out there, I'm surprised there haven't been more Slipstreams. No love for poor Susan. Preaching to the choir, eh?

I like the new mouth. It's tough to tell what it'll look like with the 'lipstick' painted on, but I'm looking forward to the finished product even more!

ahh...That's her most powerful weapon I guess.

I meant it for her to have that sultry pout, so I guess I accomplished my goal  

 

is it too late to slightly build up the upper lip?  

 

nothing is ever too late, its just the effort to take the steps backward.  

I thought the lips are almost too 'pouty'. Adding on more volume might over do it.

Why do you ask that?

 

because in the side view, the lower lip has a lot of mass jutting out than the upper, it kinda feels chimp like but that's just me. other than that, you nailed it on the length of the lower jaw.  

 

Honestly, and mind you i LOVE your sculpt work here, i really feel like her mouth is too wide. The lips just feel.... weird. they look GREAT, but feel.... weird. can't quite place it so i'll go with wide. what do you plan to do to feminize the body? my Susan (i've been calling her Thundercracker) will be having more slender wings, but i hadn't figured on any other mods i could do that would give her that more feminine appearance.
