Considering how Jurassic world ended with the military and bio weapons people getting involved I thought they could call the next one Jurassic war and have it set around an experimental army base instead of the usual theme park gone wrong. I imagine this change would likely upset some but it could introduce some unexplored and interesting aspects to the franchise which it probably needs as I doubt the next one will be able to rely on nostalgia as much as the last movie as the expectations will be much higher.

So they starved the dinosaurs and put their bones on display. InGen will pay for their cruelty.

My inner paleo-geek can't help but point out that Triceratops (any species) did not have large, prominent horns along it's frill. Also the brow horns weren't that upswept and the nasal horn should be bigger.

    Perhaps it wasn't entirely Triceratops?

Part of me feels they did that so they could avoid having to be accurate. Of course most of JP itself is inaccurate at this point right?

Ya, pretty much, the science hasn't aged well.

Any species? While this obviously isn't the skull of one, Styracosaurus is known for it's "prominent" frill horns. There are also a few other ceratopsians such as Diabloceratops and Achelousaurus who have at least two large horns at the top of the frill.

This pic is just for kicks...to get people excited and interested. Maybe a homage to the old black and white dino film that featured a Triceratops will a mini-spiked frill.

It's obviously a fictionalized species or growth stage of Triceratops that has fanciful epiparietals and episquamosals. Also, the nasal horns of Triceratops vary in size, with T. prorsus having larger nasal horns than T. horridus, although that nasal horn is indeed very small by Triceratops standards, but once again the skull is partially fanciful.

I really like the Kosmoceratops and Protoceratops in the background. With the Triceratops it's like a skeletal ceratopsian march through the Late Cretaceous.

I don't think it's an Agujaceratops. Agujaceratops has supratemporal fenestra in its frill, and this behemoth of a ceratopsid lacks them, just like Triceratops specimens (Unless one considers Torosaurus a fully mature Triceratops, but that's another discussion entirely, and this is no torosaur). Also, the epiparietals and episquamosals aren't right, and neither is the size.

Interestingly enough, the postorbital horns on this fanciful Triceratops curve up rather than forward just like Agujaceratops.

So yeah, I think it's simply a fanciful-looking Triceratops skull with prominent, widely-spaced epiparietals and episquamosals, a small nasal horn, and upward curving postorbital horns.

I love the chart you posted by the way! I'm quite into dinosaurs, so I appreciate it!

With JP, pretty much anything is possible now, especially if they're going full bore towards the "biological mix and mash" angle.

Yeah, it's a lot easier to enjoy JP films if you don't view them as scientific documentaries.
