    junkion-maiden japan kit

so i got the maiden japan kit like 2 month ago and i was amazed with his creativity and the high level of his cast ,but still for a junkion was too clean LOL

i dirtied him up ,gave him some battle damage , its the first time i use this kind of method for painting up a bot , i used a vast range of paints and the mixing of the mediums was a learning process-washes,dry brushing, oil spills, mixing glossy and matte paint, rust ,real silver was used for the rear view mirrors ....

i used P3 paints for the base coat(which are becoming my favorite medium )- thamar black, bootstrap leather(brown),pig iron, cold steel, yellow and red .

Ravel's enamals for the orange (2 shades),sand color ,matte clear coat.

Tamiya's bronze gloss for the oils spills and the metalic wash, and Tamiya weathering master powder - which is an incredible thing !!!

battle damage was made with an hobby knife and dremel tool.

mud and rust were also made with the help of house hold spices - cinnamon for the mud and rough rust ,and turmeric (curcuma longa) for the oxidazing rust/sand,its very neat little trick and all u need to do is to brush some matte lacquer and then sprinkle the powdered spice of it ,it leaves a grainy texture and the graininess depends on how fine if the powder.

i added some motor cycle parts to the axe and made him a human skull weapon ,why u ask? cause i could find anything that will look like a morning star :)  , decals are left overs from all kinds of old projects ....

the license plate refers to maiden japn -and 84 is 84 :)

this project was made between 1 am - 3 am on a course of 5 days ( i have to study during the day time ),and i enjoyed allot making this guy .

C&C are my bread and butter

That looks great! The dirt is very well applied, likewise for the grime and damage, and the colors are good though. At first I didn't like how the brown and orange clashed a little and almost made him look like he was build from the remains of two bots, but then I realized that it's actually perfect for a Junkion! I love the license plate as well, it's as if a Junkion was watching TV, realized 'hey, I don't have one of those fancy tags' and decided to make one himself.

But most of all, I love how this guy just oozes personality. Very well done, indeed. :thumb

    Nice work!

I forgot the maker's name, while reading the thread title, and briefly thought somebody in Japan had produced a Junkion Nancy kit. :)
