Junkion Blacksmith Devastator with mods (UPDATE 5/23/2011)

    Updated: Now with feet.

Hello new to customizing Transformers, but I bought the Junkion Blacksmith Infinity Warfare set and had not seen anyone using it on Radicons. So any way I used parts of it to upgrade my Classics Devastator. Sorry for blurry pics and don't mind Cuddles my cat, she likes Transformers too.

I had seen the "Fan" mode that gave Devastator elbows with clamps for hands here or on seibertron.com don't remember which one. So, I went one step farther and drilled a hole in Hook's and Long Haul's feet to accomadate the hands from the IW set. In vehicle mode they form battering ram like things for the cranes. The hands have peg holes on both sides(palm and back). With the claws placed in the palm it makes it look less like a fist.

I also made it so I could remove the shovel off his shoulder. Inspired by someone on here that showed how to make Classics Megatron's "wings" removable by cutting a channel out for the pin to slide out. By cutting the two grey bits on the sides of the shovel and placing a 5mm peg with some
mighty putty to hold it in. Now it plugs into his back.

In addition I made a chest piece out of a KO G1 Devastator chest shield. It always bothered me that Devastator's chest was Scavenger's chest. I made it so the chest piece can be used as a gun for Scavenger and made it able to attach to the back of the vehicle mode (it plugs into his butt).

Plus I will be posting some concepts for using the Infinity Warfare set as a poor man's upgrade for Bruticus and Superion. WFC Optimus Prime is also in the works, robot mode is easy find places for the upgrades in alt mode needs a little bit of noodle work.

So let me know what you guys think.

    Thanks

Hey G60Force thanks for the photoshop. My cat Cuddles gets jealious of my transformers sometimes. I'll be posting some other ideas for using this set as a poor man's Bruticus and Superion add-on.

    Definitely a great concept!

I saw some posts here about using Crossover Tank Hulk parts to upgrade a Superion and I found a Knock-Off of Hulk at KOToys.com for less than what they go for on Ebay. I bought it with the intention of upgrading Superion, but when I received it I found out that it was slightly undersized and simplfied.

So I used it's knees, shins, and feet to give Devastator faux feet. They really just plug into the leg bot's peg holes and they're really just for show since I kept the energon feet since they are very stable as is.

The funny thing about it, is that now Devastator has toes.

Ahhhhh, I see. He's got some fancy shin guards on. It works though, and really hides his energon feet pretty well... Neat idea!!
