One of the few female Junkions, Tang always felt the need to prove herself as not only equal to her fellow junk dwellers, but better. Not only can she recite over 2000 1980's earth TV commercials word for word, but she is also the fastest bike on the Planet of Junk and a top notch fighter. Many of the male Junkions very much wish to court her, and she uses that to get excellent junk gifts regularly. It is well known to her fan club that she most enjoys high tech upgrade parts for her own body. Tang's heart belongs only to one Junkion though, and Scrapheap doesn't even know it...

The theme of this custom set is an origin story for the Junkions, how they became warriors, and how they defended themselves against the Quintessons.

What I like the most out of this custom is the green in the alt mode. I don't know what it is, but it distinguishes the figure a lot. I do have to admit that Tang as a name either makes me want the drink, or makes me think of the movie 'Pootie Tang', both of which aren't as good as this figure. The red rust like look to the finish, and the head mods with the crests on the scalp are fantastic little details.

The head is a TFP Soundwave head. I used a dryer to heat the softer plastic spikes on the head, then quickly positioned them into the curls along the side of her head and dropped the head into cold water so the head spikes would stay that way. Then I added a bit of glue to help ensure they stay how I wanted them. I also etched in a mouth and sculpted her a nose and a band around the back of her head. The eyes are just painted in.

Thank you. The green stripe in the orange and the Junkion's love for old TV commercials is why she is called Tang. Well.. That and the obvious humorous reason. Just trying to be clever and original for the ones I make up since there aren't many actual named Junkions.
