Honestly, when they saw the cover of LL #20, who else thought of this?
I hope this cover happens cause that looks like megs
Also notice wheeljack in his tfp style body and rodimus in his classic colours
Yeah I wondered about that. Barber doing Megs now? Hmmmm.
In other news though, EJ Su! Hurrah!
That’s the type of cover that has absolutely nothing to do with what’s going on in the issue.
Plus it is the cover to Optimus Prime 12 and we've all been worked up in a frenzy over it before. They are just using it for the vol 3 TPB.File:OP12 cvrRI.jpg - Transformers Wiki
Lost Light had a matching cover. http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/f/f0/LL11_cvrRI.jpg
Two issues of Lost Light solicited for the same month? Primus has smiled upon us.
Another month, another complete lack of larger Hasbroverse stuff. The latest issue of Jem heavily suggested that it would be IDW's last, and that series was getting all kinds of attention on the internet. If that's dead, I don't really see much hope for the rest of them.
R.I.P. Hasbroverse – You were usually pretty alright, except when you weren't.
Yup, Devastator's dead, calling it now. They've been trying to push Victorion forever, and of course she's going to come out on top. This upsets me not just because I find Devastator far more likable and interesting, but also because I want to like Victorion and the Torchbearers, and instead of getting some good characterization (beyond the 2017 annual with Jumpstream and Dust Up and the occasional moment with Skyburst and Stormclash), we'll just have her trash a fan-favorite who's been nerfed again and again since Combiner Wars already to show everyone how awesome she is. I had high hopes for Victorion since she was announced, but so far the individuals are a character who comes across as more annoying than serving any purpose to the story, a non-entity, and four characters who are interesting and could be good characters if given more time in the spotlight.
I am glad Bumblebee will be returning. I imagine he's the "old friend" mentioned in the synopsis, so it'll be nice that after being constantly denied any chance to prove himself as a leader since being voted Autobot leader against his will, and any contribution he made toward Megatron's redemption being entirely ignored by every other character since Dark Cybertron, he might finally get some recognition (though given he'll almost certainly be immediately heading into the Unicron series, he's probably not gonna get a break).
The Sparkeater issue should be fun, and I'm really looking forward to Rodimus VS Getaway. I hope Cyclonus dices Star Saber, too. I'm still annoyed at how easily the Protectobots were taken down. It'd actually be a nice twist if Getaway revealed they were still alive, only also under his mind control, and he'd modified Groove into a limb to replace Rook, so he could sic Defensor on Team Rodimus with the Ambulon replacement leg. I mean, it probably won't happen, but it'd be nice, you know?
Has there been any talk of making Sins of the Wreckers into a hardcover?
I don't know. Didn't it already get one when that story was still relatively new? Or am I thinking about a trade paperback?
Whether the idea has ever been floated, I don't know, but there certainly isn't one in print. In a perfect world they would release one to match my Last Stand hardcover, and then release a Requiem hardcover as well that's so padded full of extra material that it's exactly the same thickness as the other two. Sadly though, this is not a perfect world, so I'll have to live with a set of Wreckers TPBs that don't match.
And this upcoming set that collects all three stories isn’t that?
Not when I already own the legendarily epic Last Stand hardcover, and want a matching set of the others it isn't. That's not to say of course that I won't be picking up the full trilogy TPB. It's probably going to be the only way to get Requiem in a TPB. Plus you can never own too many copies of Last Stand.
I'm pretty sure the trilogy IS hardcover, is it not? It won't mean you'll have a matching set with the original HC LSOTW, but it'll still be nice to own.
Nope, the trilogy is paperback. And there’s no guarantee that it will have all the bonus stories that the hardcover had.
Before people assume that Devastator dies because Pyra Magna is in a future preview... Victorion could still die without all of the components dying. If everyone except Pyra gets offed, Victorion, for all intents and purposes, is "dead".
Is this right? The same artist is doing both the A and B Covers on LL #19 & #20?
Who is replacing First Aid?
Whoa, wait... trilogy? Last Stand of the Wreckers, Sins of the Wreckers, what's the third?
Upcoming one-shot Requiem of the Wreckers, comes out in May.
