That looks great. I'm thinking about doing a non-transforming one that's cut in half likIe in the episode. I might use magnets to hold the pieces together.
dude..you make me want to go through with mt "spilt apart transforming clifjummper idea" seriously great work on this
Ah I hoped that the 'how to's' would! I know personally that I love seeing the how to on other projects almost more than the finished project itself. You're welcome!
Ah I never thought of that, yeah I wonder why they didn't?! I really like how it looks. I hope my custom cliff doesn't make you look at your Terrorcon Cliff in vehicle mode with disdain now.... Ha ha! Seriously though, if the bonnet horn is made of the same softish plastic, a craft knife will slice through it almost TOO easily, so cut away!
Ah really?! YES! That's such great feedback. It's actually odd, even though I MYSELF painted it, when I hold it in my hands my brain automatically tells me that it's heavy and metal. It's funny how the eyes and brain try and make sense of what they see even when you 'know' different.
That battle damage is just magnificent! If it is possible, could you show a picture of him with some vehicons dragging him away? Edit: Just reread the first post and realized that you haven't been collecting much (Which means you probably can't post the pic). I guess I was in too much awe by this custom to realize this.
Ah really?! Nice! oh that's cool that my damage work snuck into your liking zone. Here's what I used for the mod (it was all Tamiya brand paints and primers) - Tamiya plastic primer on all parts (except clear plastic pieces like the windscreen etc) - Tamiya Acrylic TS-8 colour red for the red respray - Tamiya Acrylic Clear over that red - For dark greyish silver I mixed: XF1 flat black with XF2 flat white with a drop of X11 chrome silver - For dirt and rusty details in the joints and 'metal' parts, I used X9 Brown and XF9 Hull red thinned down - For the burns I used some light dusting of XF1 flat black - and finally for the 'chipped' paint, I used the darkish grey mix above, and then finished the chipped details with X11 chrome silver. - Then I finished the whole thing off with a final coat of the same Tamiya Acrylic Clear to protect it from human transformation playing hands. See ya! Jozaeh
Oh man, you have GOT to do that! That would be really cool. And if somehow it can still transform by using the magnets, then double bonus!
Ah yes, as the member above said, and I replied, do it! That would be so cool. And thanks so much for the comment, I love hearing that others have enjoyed my little mod.
ha ha YEAH! Oh man that's so good to hear, cause that's exactly the effect that I wanted to give it. Nice.
