I read the Poison Ivy issue on a friend's recommendation. It was okay. Nothing really special.

I've flipped through the few that've come out so far and they're just rehashed origins written and illustrated by people I've never heard of. Seems to be just some fifth-week-month filler.

I've read them and to be honest, it wasnt worth the time it took to read the books.

I've read Joker and Penguin so far. Penguin is probably his best story in ages. Joker's , while the art is pretty crappy, the story is really awesome. The twists keep on happening.

I flipped through a couple of them, and they didn't really seem like anything special. I'm trying to cut back on the amount of comics I buy a month anyway.

This stuff's not bad, but it's also nothing truly outstanding. I'd advise you to save your money, Lumpy.

As someone whose interest in Batman is vested mostly in the villians, I am indeed enjoying this series. But I haven't read any cape comics in years, if that means anything.

I'd also admit that some of the ideas feel like stuff that TAS has already done better. The Penguin book is probably the best one so far, although I haven't had time to read the Scarecrow one.

The art in the Poison Ivy book was awesome though.

Overall, I'd recommend the TPB for anyone iffy on it. Way better value. Of course, I'm spoiled by IDW's production values and DC comics feel like newspaper to me. ;)

I've picked up all of them and enjoyed them. I plan on getting the rest.
