My brain just flatlined as it tried to figure the logic behind this.

I did a phone survey where they asked me about upcoming movies and possible future ones. ALL THE FUTURE ONES WERE REMAKES OF TELEVISION AND OLD MOVIES!!!! Magnum P.I., A-Team, the dirty dozen. These were the types of things quoted. Come up with something semi original that's not a cliche'!

People remake stuff all the time. Is there like a Shakespeare fansite that gets full of rage every time a new play based on his stuff is announced?

I usually love remakes. I loved the Halloween one!

Stooges are the best. They wanna make some money? How about re-releasing some of the classics!

Same with me. I'm not against this as long as it's done well. I wonder what Kevin James would be like as Curly...

Let's get Michael Bay to do it! They always seem to be trying to put him down and kick sand in his face!

It needs to be clarified that this is all rumor and none of these things have been officially announced or confirmed yet.

The entertainment sites (and people in this thread) keep throwing around the word "remake" when I don't believe it even qualifies as one. They aren't remaking any previous Stooge film as I understand it -- it seems more a recreation of the Stooges' act in general. And with talents like Sean Penn and Johnny Depp possibly being involved, I get the feeling it will be more like a biopic/movie-within-a-movie like the 2000 TV movie was.

I also hope they cast Michael Chiklis as Curly again -- he did a great job in the 2000 TV movie.
