“John Turturro offered to voice Jetfire because he thought it would be a fun role.”
“Jetfire was originally envisioned as having an accent like an American Southern preacher.”

Not that it doesn’t sound good, but I prefer Ryan’s British Brigadier persona to Jetfire.

Southern preacher Jetfire sounds like it might have turned out to be interesting. But John Turturro? No.

He offered his voice, and if I recall correctly, he basically stood in for Jetfire during dialogue scenes while filming, for the actors to play off of him (even though his character was involved in some of the scenes as well). Sort of like how Mark Ryan was the "robot stand-in" for Transformers.

Turturro would've been cool, but as others have stated, I prefer the Mark Ryan Jetfire. :D

I too prefer the "Aged batshit insane/wise Knight", just watch this video:

Without Mark Ryan's absurdly over-the-top yet charismatic acting, he probably wouldn't be my favorite TF character ever. So I say, Mark Ryan.

Mark Ryan is the only Jetfire. Any objections and he'll show you how he BROUGHT THE PAIN IN HIS DAY!

Mark Ryan's Jetfire was one of the only things I even remotely liked about ROTF.

I'm more interested in the part where John Turturro broke down crying.

Mark Ryan was a better fit. The only other actor voicing him taht would have been sweat would be Sean Connery.
