i can't think of an actor who is well known that'd fit the part, it'll probably have to be an unknown

I actually think that Brad Pitt would be a good choice, but would probably prefer an unknown.

The Rocketeer is pure win. I just wish they'd put a better quality DVD out, perhaps now that blu-ray has won the format war ....

Casting is going to be very tricky on this one, I mean Cap is Marvel Comics after all. I just hope they go with their recent casting trends with RDJ & Ed Norton and get an ACTOR not just someone who fills out the costume well i.e. Ben Affleck.

I still think Matthew McConaughey can pull it off.

The Phantom was played, rather well I thought, by Billy Zane.

it seems that most people like Pitt or McConaughey, but they're both too old at this point, when Rogers became the Cap, he was in his early twenties. the problem is most of the newer generation male actors tend to be more touchy feely than rough and tumble.

Mark Valley. Yeah he's old. but movie magic allows plenty of old guys to play young roles.
Plus he's a real life military guy, so that experience is invaluable.

Other than him, I wouldn't mind Brad Pitt, but he'd need to seriously bulk up. At least 20 lbs.

I can't wait for a Cap origin movie. Casting is going to be hard. How old is cap supposed to be when he gets frozen anyway?

    LOL!

Mark Valley would be very good but I'd love to see Chris Pine (new Captain Kirk) star as Captain America.

Yeah, this is my hope. Dig hearing someone else voice it also, means I'm not batshit crazy.

Even the age thing is okay with me--Cap can be a lil' older and still kick ass. And I agree that the actual Marine experience is a bonus.
