I've seen the website, and seen articles about it. It looks like it was built back in '07.

After seeing the new Legends class Wheelie, I'm convinced that this one I've seen is the best.

Does anybody know if and how I can get one of these?

There's a metallic version on eBay for $185.00, but there's no way I'm going to spend that much for it.

ebay is the only place you can buy it right now. I haven't seen it in any online stores, and it IS a fan-kit... and it IS limited, so it'll almost DEFINITELY cost you $100+ no-matter where you get it

I'd pay that much for it, but I don't want the ugly-@$$ metallic version - which is the only thing I've been able to find on eBay in about 6-7 months... :redface2:

    Octane & Ironhide!? Pics!?

I can't wait to see what the finished products look like, because right now, they aren't "wowing" me like Wheelie, Cyclonus & Powerglide did... :redface2:

The early version of powerglide didn't look much better. It improved from rough white proto to final version.

I bought my Wheelie last year for $120 including shipping from Japan. Was tricky to put together but well worth it.

What's the plastic quality? Pre-painted, too, I'm hoping...

Molded in the color. I got the first version Cyclonus which IMO is way better than the metallic version. I too have been looking for the first Wheelie but cannot find one other than the metallic version. I would love to get them all. A little loose but nice transformation.

A very loose transformation, its tough to keep Wheelie in car mode but a little easier to keep in robot mode.
Wheelie is a much better overall figure than Jizaitoys Cyclonus. I own both and Cyclonus just plain sucks, poorly engineered.
Both figures could have used some major tweaking to make them right. FansProject quality they are definitely NOT.

Here's some pics of my Wheelie:

I took these pics a while back, I've since put much better faction symbols on Wheelie.

That kinda stinks. For that much money, and as beautiful as both modes look, it's too bad. :(

Well, this makes me feel a ton better. Plus he's HUGE, well, for Wheelie. I'll probably just get the Legends class and call it good.

Thanks for all the info guys, I really appreciate it.

As usual, you all rock. :rock

Wheelie is not that huge, he's just slightly bigger than a Scout. Cyclonus has a very intricate transformation. I don't know what could be called bad engineering on those figures. Yes, they are floppy, but there's only so much you can do with a garage kit. And they're not really meant for play anyway. Imo, the non-metallic versions look too plain. Almost rubbery.
