    Review

Just got this in thanks to rubadubspawn. I can't believe how quickly it got here. This is probably one of the highest quality KO's you're ever going to find. I seem to say that a lot in these reviews, but I only tend to review stuff that I think everyone should own. With that in mind, you need to own this set. It works for any Transformer fan. I'm strictly a Movieverse person, and it fits perfectly. Do you like G1? Well the gang's all here. Masterpiece only? They work there too.

They come with manuals, and both them and the box can be translated. The team member names are:

    Bruticus - Leopard
    Onslaught - 01 Breakthrough
    Vortex - 02 Spin Edge
    Swindle - 03 Butcher
    Blastoff - 04 Burst
    Brawl - 05 Heavy Artillery

I realize that people have probably watched all the video reviews for this monster, but I thought I'd add some additional findings. None of the reviews really prepared me for the size of these things. It's basically 2 Large Voyagers, 2 Ultras and 1 Large Leader. It's amazing.

To make a long story short, buy this now. I don't know if there is a better deal for Transformers going on. For $150 you get (IMO) a Masterpiece scale Bruticus and Combaticon team.

    Time for pictures.

What a great scale. These guys just work perfectly together. Here they are with a mix and match of Movieverse Leaders, Voyagers and Deluxes.

    Just Combaticons and Evac

These things are just huge. I didn't get a sense of their scale from any of their reviews so far. The feet are the size of Deluxe Autobots... the feet.

    Onslaught and vehicles (and Dino)

I mean, Blastoff and Vortex are Leader Starscream size!!

While I wait for the definitive Motormaster, this pairing works amazingly well too.

I'd say the only issue with this team is that Blastoff and Brawl are two small given their real life counterparts. But, if you dismiss Blastoff as a shuttle as he only has 2 exhausts rather than the 5 on the actual space shuttle, then you can just pretend that he's not a shuttle.

    All vehicle modes

There are so many features and combinations and play value here that it's almost unbelievable. There are still things being discovered in this set.

For example, I didn't know that you could put Onslaught's Cannons on him in vehicle mode without the trailer. It works better this way, IMO, and there is even more than one way to do it.

    Old and new Onslaught

He's just gigantic. Just completely massive and amazing in every way. Every joint is rock solid and every tab and every hole is tight. Again, I would say that this is better quality than many Hasbro releases.

The set isn't without issues of course. In taking the set out of the packaging, I've had to unscrew some arms and legs to make sure they don't break in transforming them for the first time. Vortex's parts forming is still an issue. He's still not as big as Toyworld Constructor. There are some paint issues here and there.

None of that matters. Buy this.

Awesome & thanks for sharing. Who did you purchase from and how much was he? What was total turnaround time from payment to delivery? Thanks again!

EDIT: Missed the 1st line stating rubadubspawn as I was so excited to read the review itself. LOL

Went ahead and got X-Ray. It's not perfect, but it kind of works. I like that you can put the swords on Onslaught's Shoulders and it fits perfectly.

Well. I found some ways to slightly mod some of the figures to make the X-ray kit work better.

You can cut out a very tiny section of the Bruticus hands (pictured) and the combined rifle and X-ray work perfectly in the hands. This mod doesn't affect anything negatively.

For Brawl, you can take out his screw covers, flip them around, cut out a tiny piece, and then he can store the stuff on the back of his arms.

Everything else fits reasonably well in a could of the screw holes on each figure. Only Vortex is left out. Nothing fits on him at all. But he can still hold every weapon normally.

Looking at this I think they can make for good stand ins for a movieverse Bruticus team and may look like they can blend in well with the movie MP figures.

Yeah. That's where they slot in my collection. Since they all have faceplates besides Swindle it works well.
