I wouldn't normally post this in news but I know a lot of people really wanted jetwing prime. He is $99 at Target Australia. It is really a tease because the postage to the US would kill the savings. I can't upload the pic from my phone but I will post it in a few hours.

Jetwing is a made by Takara Tomy and Hasbro doesn't have their own version of the toy. Isn't Australia Hasbro's territory as all Australians are English speakers?

You can't have it both ways. You want your retailer to supply you with cheap toys? They're not going to stock the premium stuff.

Becasue Hasbro toys normally cost almost as much in Australia as Takara ones.

When you want to start paying Australian prices for toys, let your local retailer know.

^FYI, Australia, although technically an English speaking territory, it is classified as an South East Asia continent....so yeah, not really Hasbro territory ... they get Dotm Jetpack Prime in regular stores!

Does that mean Australians are technically Asian?

Well, put it this way: they are located nearer to the SEA zone, but are not in fact an Asian country...Australia - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The image is now on the first post. I already have this figure and it is impressive. A lot better than the Ultimate prime. If I had to weigh the value of this and MP10 IMO for a person with only a few Primes, Jetwing is the better choice. The ROTF mold is a beautiful figure on its own and with all the extra mass of the jetpack it could be a high point of any display. For someone with a lot of figures, MP10 is the better value because of the accuracy to the cartoon.

Incidentally, I was there looking for Prime stuff and RescueBots. There was none except the RescueBots playset.

Has happened before, with MP02 Ultra Magnus.

It's like 105 USD dollars, not a bad price. Well done to whomever is lucky and wants it!

I lived in the Philippines for 30 years and never saw Takara Toys in retail stores, only in specialized comic book/collectible toy stores (I'm not sure if those were imports or not) All I saw were overpriced Hasbros :(

Jetwing Optimus is a beast. I can't be 100% sure, but to be on the safe side and estimate the weight of the package as 2kg (4.4lbs), the postage is over AU$70 by registered airmail including $9 surcharge we are asked to pay for all US bound packages weighing over 500g. Postage here is crazy - it costs me over $30 to send a Voyager to US.

As for why we get occasional TakTom products, I don't know :p  I was under the impression Hasbro AU independly negotiate deals with them.
