My grandma asked a Wal-Mart employ if they had a Jetwing Optimus Prime(She doesn't believe the Japan Exclusive part) and he said they had a few in the back. Now I don't like to trust the dumb 3rd shift workers but he said the mod that Jetwing OP was on was set to release the 15th and that target already had them out. Does anybody know any thing about this. Is it true or just an idiot worker.

She was therefore unable to explain properly what she was looking for.

I thought it was Ultimate Optimus Prime too, but I don't know why he called it Jetwing Optimus Prime. But Hasbro will lose a lot of money if they don't relase Jetwing OP in the states.

Do you have anything to support this claim other than your wish to buy Jetwing Prime at U.S. retail?

Well, if your grandmother used the term "jetwing Optimus Prime", and the Ultimate toy DOES transform into big wing which are a jet pack, the employee probably called it the same to try and not confuse her anymore than she already was.

Love how you figure Hasbro will somehow "lose a lot of money" on one of the most heavily stocked toylines of the year just because they don't release ONE big item (which would probably compete with the Ultimate toy in consumer mindshare).
Whatever money Hasbro is "losing" is more than made up by the sheer volume of crap they'll sell by Christmas.

    That's Hasbro Australia's shop.

Look at the top right corner.

It's offered as a retail exclusive, imported from Japan, in one Australian store, although i can't for the life of me remember which.

Expensive, but the U.S. is about the only place where TFs are as cheap as they are.

Yeah this rumor is a bust. Releasing a Jetwing Prime would compete with the Ultimate Prime that Hasbro is hoping will be a big Christmas time seller.

    ^ Thank you.

'But Takara released both of them'

Takara don't operate like Hasbro. You can in part thank the bulk discount stores who bully them into keeping prices down.
