the Bandai 1/55 scale VF-1S valkyrie has had MANY bootlegs throughout the years. That silver one is one of many bootlegs.

Welcome to macross. Both are based off the bandai 1/55 VF-1S toy.

*EDIT* Wow, 2 replies in the time it took me to make mine...

Personally.... I find this bootleg ugly. Are you going to repaint it or something?

    OKAY.

Thanks for the info. I knew about MACROSS,but i wasnt aware of any knockoffs. All i was saying is for the price i was pleasently surprised. And its made by HAPPYWELL the ROADBOT people,so i figured the quality would be better than a regular KO.

Since i dont have a JETFIRE or YF-22 yet, i will probably just DISPLAY & TRANSFORM it from time to time-Hey it was only $9.99! Put it this way-i got more TRANSFORMER/ROBOT for my money than i did spending $20 for TITANIEUM MEGATRON(friggin paperweight).

I like it. How does the plastic quality compare to a typical TF?

ive got one [someone on here was actually uber kind enough to send it to me for free :3

and i have to say its pretty decent

its got die cast landing gear [which is a plus. especially for a KO]

a little floppy in transformation [but i dunno. maybe thatsjust how the mold is. i was too young to remember my old G1 Jetfire :\

    but yeah

    hes cool

makes a neat addition to my Decepticons xD

Thanks! Is the plastic soft or fairly rigid?

If it's like Happywell's other KO offerings, then the plastic itself is pretty decent. Maybe not quite as good as a TF, but not brittle or fragile.

However, the mold quality itself is pretty hit or miss. I got their ChoRyujin KO, and the tolerances were off in places. Getting the back plates to snap into place in truck mode is virtually impossible, and the arm joints were a little on the floppy side. Additionally, one of the black foot tabs for ChoRyujin was a little warped, so it kept falling off.

So the toys are going to hold up to play pretty well, but they might take a bit of work to make them serviceable.
