So we saw and heard Jetfire in that new ShoWest clip. I was worried he was going to be really really old but from the sounds of things hes got a grumpy Animated Ratchet feel to him. I can see him giving out about young bots like Skids and Mudflap etc. I also have a feeling he could be a bit like Yoda, as in when hes in Robot mode hes slow and such, but in Jet mode hes super fast. For example I'd love a scene like this: -Starscream confronts Jetfire about leaving the Decepticons that they don't need him anymore, that hes just a rusty old bucket. -Jetfire says how they act like punks and forgotten their ways and says he may be old but hes still called "Jetfire" for a reason. Jetfire then transforms and so does Starscream in pursuit, Jetfire mutters to himself "young punk" and then accelerates leaving Starscream in his dust, much to Starscreams surprise and illustrating how fast Jetfire and the SR71 really is. What do ye think?
I just want to see him beating the crap out of somebody with his cane. And three units of his leader class toy.
i was pleasantly surprised as the way they decided to portray the character of Jetfire I like that the characters are way more rounded and not 1-dimensional I also like the idea how he could possibly have a "Kup" personality
I think the idea of being like Yoda is pretty accurate.Hell he may even be able to use his cane like a light saber!!!
Yea i def agree with him possibly being the yoda figure which i think will be awesome. I would love to see him in a confrontation with Starscream in any way possible. I think Jet-Fire is gonna be a great character and i love what they've showed of him so far, especially with the cane.
After seeing the clip of him saying "ITCHING, WRETCHED, RUST IN MY ARSE!" I want his leader toy. He'd better say "GET OFF MAH LAWN!" or I'm out.
"Get off my Lawn Starscream!" "N-" *Whap* *Thunk* *Whap* "Alright... The cane... it hurts..." "Get. Off. My. Lawn!"
Yeah, I was kind of thinking along the same lines. Maybe this is looking too deep into it, but I'd like to think that maybe he uses the cane to conserve energy for when he needs to actually fight.
I am thoroughly impressed with him, because of a few things: His demeanor. He's like a "good" Decepticon, which is what he's suppose to be. He looks like a scary Decepticon, but also looks like an Autobot... kinda. He better say "get off my lawn" or something of equal awesome. Rust in my ass was close, though.
This would make him my favorite character of this movie. A spiritual successor to Kup in this movie would own so much.
Something tells me he'll be like this fellow Bulkhead (Energon) - Transformers Wiki Knowing Michael Bay's way of film-making, I might be right.
