Cool sacrifice, awesome yet hilarious character. Hard to pull off good humor in the Bayverse, but he did it. Unique, definitely.
Jetfire is awesomeness shoved into a plane. He's a badass that even in his degenerated condition still manages to retain a totally over-the-top personality, teleportation and a knack for wrecking other people's shit. Wild and wacky, he's one of the funniest damn characters in the trilogy with his outrageous nature and hilarious comments, especially regarding his father He's got a wicked design, the lenth of the Blackbird translating into his curved torso with the cockpit as a kinda helment thing and the jets forming his thighs with panels sprouted over him, making him seem bigger than he really is, which is still massive. I love how his cane is not only made of his landing gear, but can also form an axe, with which he pulverised the unlucky Mixmaster with. And of course, he helped Optimus save the Earth by sacrifcing himself and fusing with him to form an unholy bad-ass that wrecked the Fallen's shit. And Megatron's too. All in all, one of the best characters of the lot! All hail his GLORIOUS AWESOMENESS!
If I had to choose death, I would choose the one that Jetfire preferred. Maybe it sounds pathetically, but I many times thought about that. He didn't die, he will be alive eternally.
