Couldnt call this one "my collection" since most of my collection is in storage. Ive been collecting for 16 years now. Started with G1 reissues, MPs since MP1, and just about any Optimus Prime I could get my hands on. Im really only collecting MPs lately as G1 reissue and Optimus Prime releases have really slowed down, and I pretty much have the G1 collection I want with a few holes aside. My display is basically my Takara MPs with their G1 counterpart in the shelves, with the Hasbro MPs boxed above. I've tried to squeeze as much of my G1 collection in as possible, kind of sorted by season. I dont have many G1 accessories out due to it being hurricane season at the time. Too much to pack up if I need to get out of town. Yes, this will all come with me if I have to evacuate... But enough about me... I really need to retake this shot with a real camera. This is a really old shot of when I had my Primes on display with a close up of the top row. The dusting..... I couldnt keep up Just cleaned out my low memory "smartphone" of all the old pics of my displays. I'm glad I kept this shot. I can't wait for the day that I have the display space to recreate it, adding the clear versions in the mix.
Nice collection! Thanks for sharing I live in Texas nearer to the coast and twice now in my lifetime I've packed up the transformers to evacuate and that is definitely a pain! I love the Masterpiece with G1 display concept, I use to display all my lines separate but in my new house I put together my collection the same way! Even non collectors can appreciate the new and old together and can tell what's happening You can see a pic of a few in my signature, or see the whole collection in the link. Good luck as it grows, that's a lot of Primes!
Your pics while setting up your display were my inspiration for the G1/MP display. Ive been slowly working on the change ever since.
Oh wow, that's pretty awesome I'll have to look up the first collection I saw it in that inspired me. I remember seeing two different collections that had the G1 boxes and then MP figures in front. Then we can see a "pay it forward" of who all's collections have been affected I also took heavy inspiration from Arkvander's overhaul in his cleaver use of IKEA bookcases with glass... Kinda cool how we all sorta inspire each other...thanks for sharing that
Thanks. I really miss having this setup but until I can get them behind glass all those Primes are going to have to sit in storage I've already rearranged things to include more G1 and kind of set them up be season 1,2,etc. I'm hoping to update the pics this weekend

Yeah, you already have a mini museum... I shuffled things around on my shelves in the first post. Tried to get more G1 toys in there and arrange them by seasons. Here is just a bunch of random stuff, old shots of displays thru the years. This black shelf has been changed so many times. The top row was really fun. Prime, Megs, and Starscream - Everything from G1, PVCs, Revoltech, WSTs... SEEKERS!!!

Best day ever. It's Saturday, Christmas Eve, hurricane season is well over, and I'm not expecting any new bots under the tree...... So I spent the day watching NFL redzone and unpacking G1 stuff that spend their summers in storage. Definitely a WIP. Gonna get plexiglass cut to cover the shelves. I hate dusting. Bunch more to unpack... Merry Christmas!
I've moved into a much smaller place temporarily so my display has been reduced significantly. I'm only displaying S1/2 MPs in one case and a few character "shrines" in the other. It really sucks having over 75% of the collection in storage but once we leave TX later this year it'll all work out.
