Jeff Conaway who became world famous for his role in Grease, passed away on May 27th at the age of 60. To us science fiction fans, Jeff Conaway was probably most known for portraying Zack Allen on Babylon 5. Jeff, a long time opiate addict (he appeared on Celebrity Rehab twice), was found unconscious in his home on May 11th. It was established that he suffered from pneumonia with a severe sepsis thanks to his addiction. Apparently, he had overdosed slightly, vomited, and inhaled it into his lungs, causing the pneumonia. He was kept in a medically induced coma until doctors determined there was nothing left to do. Jeff's family decided to take him off life support on May 27th and he passed away shortly after that, never regaining conciousness. Rest in peace, Jeff.
I hardly call this shocking. Having watched some of celebrity rehab, he looked like the walking/wheel-chaired dead the entire time.

Living in constant pain, i can see why Jeff had so many problems staying clean. but others, they are just self destructive because no one stands up to them. Rest in Peace, Jeff. at least you tried to save yourself, not just tour a clinic for cheap publicity.
