Lot of money for a car you can't drive. (auction details reveal it has a "scrap" title)

20k$ ? that's a bit of a dissapointment considering that a base 2009 model is 29000. I realise this is an older, used model but it's still Jazz! Also, wasn't this a custom model solstice since they didn't come with a hardtop originally?

The 'scrap' title is more a formality because the car is heavily modified and potentially isn't legal to drive as is on public roads. Other modified cars have that classification as well on barret jackson. With a safety inspection and maybe a few other checks it should be perfectly suitable to drive on public roads.

The HardTop is no more custom:

look atLot 1512, much higher price and hardtop too - and you should drive it everywhere!

That's a great deal, I love that car. Too bad i missed it being sold. And yes, the hardtop is custom, although they did make a small number in hardtop when they first came out. But it didn't have the fender vents, or the wing, etc.

$19k? Really? Wow, that's sad. That's a very cheap price for what's not only a one of a kind Solstice but also a movie star.

If it were really that easy to drop the "Scrap" tag from the title, then the sellers would have most definitely done so to get more for the auction. Most likely they may have tried and found it would have cost more to fix it up than they would have possibly added to the auction total.

for all we know, it could be like the concept camaro's that were built, where its not a real road worthy car, but just the body built over a frame and an engine, and nothing more. you open the trunk (if it even opens) and you see the ground type of deal.
