Okay, I know I shouldn't be doing this. I don't get the Hub, I haven't seen Prime, I'm patiently waiting for the DVD release just like I'm doing for Animated Season 3 but that's neither here nor there.

But anyway, for a completely unrelated reason I happened to be looking up LeVar Burton on Wikipedia and I noticed that he is credited as the voice of Jazz in Transformers: Prime. Is this true, or is it another case of "anyone can (and does) post inaccurate and flat-out wrong information on websites supposed to contain accurate information"?

Is Jazz rumored to appear in Prime? Has this in fact already been reported elsewhere?

 

theres been no news suggesting that, that ive seen, take it with a big pinch of salt until its official. Would love to see Jazz in prime tho

 

IMDB is pretty terrible when it comes to trying to find factual information on a given series, especially Prime, it seems. I'd wait on some official word (possibly at the Prime panel at Comic-Con?) before investing much in that.

LeVar Burton as Jazz? Odd choice, but I might be able to get behind that.

 

As far as I'm aware, there's been no rumors of Jazz at all - not even at Botcon. I'd imagine he's easily S2+ if he shows up at all by now, so yes, Wikipedia was lying.  

I find it's safest to just assume that there's a man with a freakishly powerful imagination wandering around editing articles - and that unless it quotes a source, it's probably lying to you.

 

Gordi as Jazz? That could be interesting... But so far, he hasn't appeared. Wheeljack dropped by once (& has been confirmed to be returning, & is getting a toy -- mentioned in this month's TFWe), so Jazz probably will too, eventually...

As to you not watching Prime? There are torrets & dl/s stickied until offical stuff is released.

To legally watch from ep. 17 on, though, check out the TF: Prime video page on Hubworld. I maintain a thread that I update as I find new episodes there, as Hubworld.com is the only way I can watch it: they tend to upload full eps. the Thursday after an ep. airs... But they get taken down after a couple weeks.

 

No rumors of Jazz so far, at least, not from a credible source.

It's not a impossibility, in fact we were told that there WILL be more Autobots and Decepticons before the season ends, but no Jazz name thrown so far.

I've read it too on Wikipedia, but nothing yet.

We'll see, there is so many things floating about prime now days that its a wait and see.

I think there was a Jazz design shown in a TF Prime special "behind the show" in the Hub when the first episodes aired (I could be wrong... as I can't remember if it was Jazz or another characters)

 

I haven't seen any rumors of Jazz, but Wheeljack has already appeared.

 

Well, I'm glad I could debunk this, at least. Burton did seem like an odd choice for Jazz.

Yeah, you need help. Especially since this was posted in the Transformers Prime Discussion Forum, where Prime in a thread title is assumed initially to refer to the show title.

 

When I was younger, I used to put Jazz inside the back end of my Prime all the time, especially when time came to long trips.

Just thought that was worth saying, along with that fake or not, I'd love him as the new voice.
