the japanese characters look so cartoony and stupid. and whats with japanese posters and signs being hal fin english and half not?
^^^I think in Japan, English is considered "cool," much in the same way that people in America think Chinese characters look "cool" despite not knowing what they mean sometimes. I don't speak Japanese, but sometimes they use English a little too much. Ever watch anime? Some anime would lead you to believe that the Japanese don't have a word for "Start," "Fight," and most often, "Pilot."
The Japanese have a penchant for mixing english in with their language. You ever heard of Engrish.com? Prime example. And for all intensive purposes, that lettering is toned down from what I usually see from the japanese! XD
