After going through the new Japanese TF site, I discovered something that looked a bit odd. If you follow the link here:
    http://www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/TF/table.html
You'll find a timeline page that shows for TF in Japan that there are only two timelines, one for G1, BW, BM, etc., and the other for Armada, Energon, and Cybertron. The second makes sense, although the first in out in left field. The first says that G1 and the upcoming live-action movie are in the same timeline with the movie taking place after in '07. The Japanese must be f*ed up or what.

Side Note: The first timeline is in the header with a non-active button in Japanese and 1, while second in footer with Japanese and 2.

Well, that's obviously wrong, as Galaxy Force was completely separate from Micron Legend and Superlink. Plus Car Robots should be on that list somewhere.

Also they're forgetting the G1 and G2 manga which were separate from the cartoon.

and it's plausible with a bit of time travel that CR can fit between G1 season 2 and TFTM. (especially since the movie occurs in 2010 instead of 2005 in japan.)

Isn't it obvious to these guys by now? Even Takara and Hasbro should get it already. All these series are alt. universes of Transformers. These new TFormers series that have so called pre-existing G1 named characters are descendants of the G1 Transformers and ancestors to the Beast Wars characters. Just only that they're flung into the alt. universes. Just as Primus intended.

This is probably the best TF timeline I've ever seen. It has everything, even shows their relations to each other. Each entry is a link, so if you don't know what one is, just go over it and look at the url.

The movie takes place in 2005 in Japan. Season 3 takes place in 2010.

Doesn't make much sense contiuity-wise, but that's what the dialogue says.

It is interesting that it doesn't include the Manga exclusive that explained Super Megatron's resurrection. What was that called?

It is, it's the entry for 2000, when the Time Travellers arrived and did their battle.

It's strange that they grouped the Galaxy Force/Micron Legend/Superlink stuff all in it's own side continuity.
