I came across these Japanese Scramble City/2010 catalogs a few weeks ago. I thought everyone who hasn't seen them might enjoy them. There is some fantastic art scenes - not to mention the white Astrotrain! Enjoy.

Awesome stuff, thanks for sharing them. Oh the memories, it reminds me of being a kid back in the 80's drooling over all the TF toy catalogs.

Those are awesome...it makes me a little sad too, considering the non-Bruticus combiner molds shown may never see a reissue.

Because you can scramble combiner limbs around, so you can put a Stunticon in place of a Combaticon, etc.

Actually stumbled upon this on the wiki this morning, while looking at "repurposing". Apparently thats a pre-transformers coloration that e-hobby used on the encore megs. The character megaplex is from Machine Wars and is kinda a clone of megatron that he would use as a stand-in in battle (originally a jet).

    Awesome!

Two things though, why is Megatron on the third scan from the right the US version?

And how come they made the japanese exclusive artwork for Megs in the regular chromed and red colours?

its called scramble city after the japanese g1 "movie" scramble city where the 5 bot gestalts were introduced. switching of the limbs is referred to as scramble power.
