I must resist the urge to complete movie legends...Got one Japanese DVD preorderd already to (hopefully) get spychanger Prime. I can't have 2 sets of DVDs I have no use of.

The movie legends figures seem to be a waste. Thy are not too appealing.

I like 'em. The Legends always look great on the G1 cities and even the Micromaster bases look okay with them.

I'm tired of this can they not come up with something unique? Its all repaints. Why not do a Mikaela figure exclusive? I'd buy that or say G1 original voice for the TF movie? As DVD G1 voice actors? I'd buy that too.

these are pack-ins created as low/negligible-production-cost incentives to get the DVD.

developing, engineering and creating a brand-new mold [or gating off part of a mold that's intended for another release, like the Mikaela from the Screen Battles set -- which even if they did it would then be another repaint/reissue], JUST for a limited release such as this one, would cost money.

dubbing the movie with G1 voice actors would [a] cost money and amount to unnecessarily Geewunifying the film, which was more than watchable and enjoyable with only Cullen from the G1 cast... and [c] in this case, b is not worth a.

Exactly. Complaining that a freebie is a repaint rather than an entirely new mold is completely missing the point.

After all you have bared witness to in the fandom, sometimes it seems these random complaints seem to surprise you. :)

I like the Megatron Legends toy, but none of the rest warrant a purchase.
