Do the Japanese G1 combiner giftsets have metal or plastic chested variants?

The originals or the reissues? Reissue wise, Predaking has the die-cast, Bruticus does not.

I'm actually wondering about the originals. I know that in the U.S. the combiner limbs were diecast variants when sold on card, but were plastic variants when sold in the giftset. I remember hearing that either the European or Japanese giftsets used diecast variants but I don't remember.

The original Bruticus set was plastic, same with the Predacons.
