Very cool, this is obviously better that the Hasbro version, the right colors.

I think this definitely looks nice, and if it was somehow released locally for the standard cost of a voyager, I'd have not problem throwing another $20 at it. Being that it will generally be more then twice that, plus shipping, I am still on the fence. Also, the new Animated Megatrons are looking pretty sharp, with great colors, so it makes it harder to feel the need to pay for this one.

Eh if people actually prefer Hasbro's Meg colors to Takara I'd gladly sell them mine. I got this one on preorder and I am really looking forward to it.

I'm not a fan of the random chrome either; in fact I think it looks downright silly on Grimlock. Megatron remains the only Takara Classic I'm even considering getting (unless they release the few I don't have).

I am definitely getting this Megatron, perhaps I will even sell my spare hasbro one to help pay for it. That would be cool.

I think there is less hype about this guy because hes been out here for so long, the excitement has come and gone for it and we are looking forward to Animated Megatron who looks awesome.

The Takara Megs is the only one I was thinking about pre-ordering, but I'm still on the fence about it. While the color scheme is much better than the Hasbro original, I still don't know if it's worth $45 plus shipping the buy the mold again.

None of the Takara Classics scream 100 PERCENT BETTER to me, but Megatron certainly is of note given the closer G1 colors. I however am quite happy with the Hasbro one regardless of the green/orange/purple. I might buy a Takara one....but I'll certainly hold off on the rest of the series. Why pay way more money for toys I already have in a stripped down form?

He's in the right color, not "Nerfed" or "neon" like some people say, but man, I'll be damned if I didn't say that the colors on Hasbro's version just flow better. JP Megs is kind of jarring... and its not just the red but its how all the other tones and textures come together. I don't like the perfectly translucent parts on the wings, and I would have just kept the greyish white of the Hasbro version for a base.

Man, I hate that chrome chest. The color scheme overall is nicer and more traditionally Megatron-y, but that chrome chest just kills it for me (that and the clear plastic on the wings is really dull).

Toyally agree 100%. I really like the mold so I might pick it up somewhere down the line but not right away. I'm perfectly happy with the Hasbro version right now.

I like it, and since it's a classics repaint, I must have it. It's also good to know that Takara photographers can mis-transform things as poorly as Hasbro photographers. :lol

Pass... again. Was holding out to see if Tak can whip out a nice colour scheme for ol' Megz but meh... this makes me wanna get a KO and re-paint instead.

I like the color here, but not enough to get him. Rather get a fresh canvas for my own repaint.

I'm not really feeling the chrome they used on some of his parts. And since i went and repainted my Hasbro one, will pass on this.

    Check out my repaint:

Used a reprolabel Decepticon logo for the chest, not updated in these pics. I 'd say he looks pretty sharp.

wow...he looks really cool...they should have done this in the first place...oh well live and learn I guess. I will not be buying this one, instead I will keep the one I have and eagerly wait for Galvatron to come out. Hopefully he looks cool.

I like Hasbro's Nerf gun version better. The repaint is kind of stuck in the middle between a Nerf gun and a real one. Good efforts though.
