That was quite my point. Everything for AOE was slightly different, including the 1 steps etc. but everything so far we've seen isn't different at all, just like the first three movie lines. We'll find out either way once more Takara figures are revealed, but given that the six or seven shown so far are exactly the same as the Hasbro, I don't have any reason to think that any of the others won't also be the same. Though it wouldn't surprise me if they release the Armor Knight Optimus instead of the original leader mould.

I strongly suspect they'll eventually give us a revision on this voyager Prime with far superior paint since they always go to town on a Prime mold and this seems to be the one this time around. (I guess that may be the point of this thread)

Hopefully. I'm still not sure if it's worth holding out for possible Platinum Editions now that they've raised the prices so much that the regular releases cost roughly what the AOE Platinum figures would've cost individually.

Though I can see them pissing people off if they've already paid inflated prices and then better versions of the figures get released later.

Oh, now I get where you guys are coming from. I only witnessed the release of the AoE myself since I wasn't collecting when the first three movies were released, so I assumed Takara's treatment for these toys was the rule, not an exception.

But I still hope that they will at least do the new Voyager Prime mold justice. I mean, if they already have such an elaborate paint scheme for an exclusive it would make sense to me to release a clean not-evil Optimus Prime out of that mold with most of the paint apps of the exclusive except for the purple stuff and with some lighter colours perhaps.

What do you mean, "additionally"? He's never once added anything to any thread other than nonsensical spam.

Why even bother with that guy right?!

Back on topic. Shit we need clearer pic scans for this awesome release.

Not all their stuff is "perfect". More then 3/4ths their releases DEFINITELY hava KO look to them. M-01 Commander looks glorious I agree but as just as one example look at the neck & buttaface they gave Arcee just barely. And a bunch of their other stuff have major issues. So I wouldn't count on them and skip.out on something that's already great. At least not without thinking about it. Thats just my advice though

I really want this mold and could repaint it myself but why bother if an officially released version can do that for me?

I certainly hope so and it finds its way onto eBay at not too inflated a price. I saw the Hasbro figure in store earlier today and was very underwhelmed. A decent paint job is all it would take to make it go from meh to desirable.

I guess when the threads got merged my post went kaput, but I really wish it was a lighter silver. It's too dull, despite the added paint details. Also, why is the shield all blue?

It's nice but I'd want a non-evil/possessed movie-accurate Optimus instead. So basically the same thing but with blue eyes and a silver sword blade. Hopefully Hasbro comes through with another one of their premium box sets like they did with those beautiful premium AOE Autobots.

And with a lighter silver. I actually kinda miss the days of 2007's premium line.
