Wow these are kind of awesome. They really look like a piece of dark metal burning up like in the movie.

Well I actually appear to be in the minority here, I think they look pretty awful.  

 

Sure, if that metal is transparent aluminum.

Running the page through Babelfish and looking at the scan, I think they are C3 Hobby Convention Exclusives, an event held on the 18th and 19th of September (date confirmed from scan, that part I can read), price is 3'000 yen (each I assume)

 

they ruined it with the orange sherbet treatment.

 

You guys aren't getting it. I'm talking about the layered effect between the dark underbody and the glowing outer shell in meteor mode.

The clear part is the flames, which envelop the darker "rock" part underneath.

In robot mode its kind of dumb though since they are translucent.

LOVE how they look in entry mode, meh on how their robot modes look like that.

Wow those are....hideous. I'm more than happy with Hasbro's Protoforms. Ask me that again in twenty years after Starscream suffers from gold plastic syndrome and you'd more than likely get a different answer however...
