Who's better Jango or Boba?
I voted Boba Fett. Mainly because he went toe-to-toe with Darth Vader. And Won.
Oh, and he stole his Landspeeder too.
Boba Fett, hands down.
Gotta go with Jango Fett here... I got no love for the prequels, but Jango was far more of a threat in that one film than Boba was in the first three!
Jango killed Padmé's would-be assassin. Was the template for the entire clone army. Took on Jedi head-to-head and did in a showdown with Samuel L. Jackson.
Boba... Skulked around in the background silently, followed Han Solo around for a bit, took him pre-frozen to Jabba the Hutt and was then killed by a blinded Han Solo.
Yeah, hate the prequels, but gotta go with Jango here. Boba is the biggest badass ever who did absolutely nothing. Jango stood toe to toe with a Jedi, that counts for a lot.
no, boba was killed by being tossed into a giant asshole!
Gotta admit that one... Was still the half blind Solo that put him in there, so my point still stands!
yea i know, boba was totally lame, i don't get how he got popularity at all...
he did nothing except get eaten!
They both suck, but I'll vote for Jango, because he was in the prequels and I like those movies because of how much butt-hurt nerd-rage they caused.
LOL at everybody who says Boba Fett did sod all.
Bobba Hope FTW
First I am gonna ask why this is in the COMIC thread.
Second, Boba all the way, I am not a huge fan of the prequels. I do like Jango, but being an OT guy, I never liked the whole "Boba is a clone of Jango" thing from the start. Not to mention that shitty clone wars cartoon that totally discredits Boba and Jango in the Mando lines. Give me a f*cking break.
I'm not gonna get into an argument about the whole "killed by a blind guy" or background character garbage. Boba became popular with ESB, and was unexpected to uncle George. But, either way, George has a way of making all things "bad-ass" come to an end.
Lucas's problem is that he never knows when to stop working on something. He keeps changing things, never knowing when to quit or when something is finished. He overdevelops things to the point where he fucks them up. If only he could overcome that and be satisfied with his works then he'd probably be liked more as a filmmaker and not made fun of.
Boba, all the way.
Here's the ironic thing, if the OP had intentionally posted this in the comic thing, than that would mean we should focus on Comics or Graphic novels. In that case, you have to acknowledge all the stuff Boba did in those, not just base it on the movie. In that case, Boba was a even bigger bad-ass in the comics as compared to everyones detailing of how "boring/background" he was in the movie.
Riddle me that!
And THAT'S why I voted Boba, because of what he did in the Blood Ties mini that focused on him and Jango. It was a tough choice though.
Jango for me. Boba was cool, but he needed a lot of expanded material universe to actually live up to his name, and that was a result of simply looking cool and being popular than really doing much in the movies.
Jango. Boba was a loser. Even Clone Wars on it's never-ending journey to atone for the Prequels' mess couldn't make Boba sympathetic or interesting in any way. (Also, the Clone Wars never stated Jango and Boba weren't Mando's, it was just that one guy trying to cover up the whole war faction thing) Plus Jango looks cooler.
Boba's just a clone of Jango and he fell into a giant hole with tenticles
