I was just browsing around the internet and I saw that they had this Alternator figure at some rather high prices. Is there something special about this Ravage figure?

Like most store exclusives, it hardly got any distribution.

I grabbed the only one I ever saw...

...and it's an all around great figure. looks good next to mp megatron. i got mine loose/complete for 20 not too long ago. if you look around, you can find him at a decent price.

Ravage2 and Rumble were really hard to find in stores. They were Wal-Mart exclusives and, unlike Target or TRU, individual Wal-Marts have a much greater say in what they want to stock. so if a Wal-Mart realized that Alts weren't selling they could choose to pass on the exclusives. That's what happened in my town - we have three Wal-Marts here and not a single one of them stocked Ravage2 and Rumble.

I have one MIB, you see, and I'm just looking for a reasonable price to sell him at.

Ravage was warming shelves in German TRU stores for ages.

I picked him up for two members of TFW, but German prices plus crappy exchange rate from Euro to Dollar plus high shipping costs resulted in something in the $60 region for a single toy (including shipping).

yeah i'd be interested in this guy. My favorite car maker is aston martin...the jaguar xk is designed by the former head designer of aston martin (back when jaguar and aston martin were both owned by ford) so the xk looks very similar. However there're no walmarts near me.

Yeah it is just rare. I picked up my sealed ravage for around 80 bucks on BBTS, also glad I got my Jazz when I did. Got it a couple of months for around 50 or 60 on BBTS and now it is up to 70 or 80

My local hobby store has a MIBS Meister for something like $35.

eBay prices are always going to be crazier for Alts than what you can find elsewhere. Specifically, I've seen Alt Meister for $20 loose and under $40 sealed plenty of times before. Someone has a MISB one for $35 right now, I think.

Ravage is probably going to be a bit more pricey in either case due to that exclusivity. Definitely up there with the SDCC exclusives and the non-exclusive but rare guys like Swerve, Decepticharge and Camshaft.

Apart from import shops, Argos was really the only place to buy the later Alts here. Earlier this year Argos were still selling Alternator Wheeljacks (sometimes for less than a tenner). They also did special offers on the Ravage XK so I got mine dirt cheap there too. It was only when Animated hit that they stopped selling Alternators through their catalogue, although I sometimes still come across them in the sale bins in store along with movie figures and Titaniums.
