Great news, JK Simmons is one of those rare actors that's excellent in every single role.
-the neo-Nazi Schillinger in HBO's OZ (how I first came to know him)
    -shrink on Law & Order
    -the dad in Juno
-and of course, the perfect J. Jonah in Raimi's Spidey films

Umm...why is Shield giving Spidey orders? (I'm a novis(sp?) when it comes to the comics, but I do believe Fury met spidey after Gwen Stacy died...)

Back on topic: Great news about J.K Simmons. Loved him as J.J.J in the live Spidey movies. my mind is blown on how much he and pickled puss look alike...

Yes! I'm very happy to see him come back. He's pretty much the... well, Peter Cullen (Optimus, bar TF: Prime) or Frank Welker (Soundwave, not Megatron) of Spiderman. Simmons can do JJJ in every single thing of Spiderman, IMO.

This series is based on the Ultimate comics, also Spiderman is now a Avenger in the comics right now.

Also it kinda ties in to Avengers: Earth's Mightiest heroes.

    This Ultimate Spiderman looks amazing.

    Source?

There's a rumor on-line that Spidey will be voiced by either Vincent Martella from Phineas and Ferb or reprised by Josh Keaton.

By golly, you're right! Just how did I miss that? Guess it's because I grew up with the Lovitz-Goodman era.
