    Iwata Promises More Rev Secrets
Nintendo to pull back the curtain next month.
    by Matt Casamassina
March 31, 2006 - Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata, told MTV at the Game Developers Conference in San Jose, California last week that not everything is known about the company's next generation console, codenamed Revolution.

    Nintendo president Satoru Iwata

The Big N has a habit of guarding the system's features. It unveiled Revolution last May, but refused to show off its innovative controller for almost another six months. And apparently there's more to come.
"There are some other unique features of the Nintendo Revolution hardware that we haven't discussed yet that we will be announcing at E3," Iwata explained to MTV.

Laser beams? Anti-gravity fields? We can't imagine what Nintendo has up its sleeves, but we're already itching to find out. Readers can head over to the IGN Revolution message boards to kick-start the mandatory speculative wars.

That's be sort of fun at first...until it rolled off the table and down the stairs. But that's when secret 57 would employ: parachute.

It better be a Gamecube controller shell for it, because the remote controller, IMO, RUINS the Revolution. If it is a shell for the controller, then I'll buy the Revolution. If it's not, then I have lost all faith in Nintendo, and their Revolution won't be one.

Ha! It's pretty much a tricked out 'Cube already, so there's no complaints or surprises there.

I'm hoping for some new info on the controller configuration. I know it can play like a GC controller, but I need to see it look like one.

1: Nintendo has already promised a controller add-on for "traditional" style games.
2: YOU CAN ALREADY PLUG A GAME CUBE CONTROLLER INTO IT. You do not need a shell.
3: Do you even understand how the Revolution controller works? It doesn't ruin the Revolution, it's its best (that we know of) innovation.

    Consider your day made! :D

Nice job, Rokkit, that was quick with the photo!

I don't know why people don't expect that to be there. Nintendo wants all GameCube games playable on it, and how else would we play DDR Mario Mix or Donkey Konga? :thumbs2:

Games? But they have all that old junk to play on it, who needs *new games*? Besides, you have Twilight Princess to play on your new hardware all oldschool style.

yeah...like playing Madden....the only thing that changed is the players on what team....other than that, its just a remake. :D

More Rev secrets: Sega Master System, Turbo-CD, NeoGeo, Sega Saturn, and Sega Dreamcast on the Virtual Console...those would be cool.

Even more Rev secrets: PS1/PS2/PSP and X-Box on the virtual console...LOL
