How much did a Fortress Maximus cost at retail way back when? When he came out?

From the scans I've seen, he ranged from something like $79.99-89.99.

So in that same range as the modern Ultimate class? Like the 80 dollar Prime with trailer? Or the Ultimate BB from the first two movies?
huh... were parent's ever willing to buy that back then? XD

I saved up money from my summer mowing job and remember shelling out $99.99 plus tax for him.

Yes, and keep in mind how much more $100 would buy back then. It was a LOT of money for sure. With inflation and the fact they have managed to stay at that same price point today is impressive.

Yeah, it was 100. I saved up for quite a while and my parents eventually broke down and kicked in whatever was left.

Yeah, and we can't count out inflation either. Like, 20 years might not seem like that much in the grand scheme of things, but there's a reason why our parents complain about not being able to buy anything for a dollar anymore.

Yup, it was around $80-$100 and I got one for Christmas. It's about the only thing I got, but I was okay with that. :)

Mine was $79.99 or $89.99 from Bradlees. Got it either x-mas or b-day, i'm not exactly sure, it was a while ago. My parents forgot to remove the pricetag before giving it to me but i ended up taking the sticker off b/c it was getting in the way of the boxart.

The Fort Max box was the only TF box i kept from my childhood because it was the only/best thing i could find to store it in! Damn, am i glad i did that!
