Don't you hate it when you find a song you want, but on iTunes it says it's "album only", meaning you have to download the entire album if you want that song. ****!

    *gets off the soapbox*

    Off to torrent!

Rhapsody is another option. You get 25 free listens per month. (resets in 10-18 days, I forget which.)

Or, you can search YouTube for a video containing the song. That's how I listen to my music. Rhapsody and YouTube.

That, and cashing in all of my PepsiPoints. (rewards rock, especially when you like the product you're buyin'. Gives it just that much more awesome.)

I've always had this belief that iTunes are the Nazis of the digital music scene. I agree with the above, Youtube and Rhapsody are the best sources for indulging your music addiction.

I hate it when a song I want to buy on iTune is only available as a Live version or it's not even available as an album. If I didn't have iPod already I would have bought my music elsewhere.

Um...you do know you can buy music from other sources and have it play on your iPod, correct? (I'm not asking that in a sarcastic way, I'm genuinely asking. My cousin didn't know when she got her's.)

iTunes will convert the MP3s and WMAs you buy, into MP4 (or is it AAC?) or whatever the format is that they use.

I found out that Amazon has MP3s has them good as iTunes, in unlocked format (I want to be able to put them on my phone, too), and a larger library. I got Don't Look Back in Anger there

Not too happy with iTunes right now. A friend's podcast keeps being banned, brought back, and banned again. They can be finicky at best.

Those drive me nuts too. I really don't like live versions... I like the digitally optimized and edited the crap out of songs. Ok, that wasn't even a complete sentence, but I think the point still sticks.

I have a zune and a zune pass subscription. If I end up liking an album enough I go buy the cd, I still like having the disk, artwork and stuff.

Wal-Mart was selling what amounts to a "download your own CD" thing a while back.

One of Reba's most recent albums (and about three other artists...I don't think the idea took off.) it was the liner notes and a WM.com gift card wrapped in plastic. All you had to do was provide an empty jewel case, and a blank CD.

You'd download, burn the music to CD, and voila, a fully legit CD for close to half the price.

I see what they were thinking, and it's actually kind of a neat idea, but most people do either/or, when it comes to downloadable digital, and CDs. Not both.
