I guess the Batboat wasn't built to take that much punishment.

Edit: And to be fair, the whalers may have gone through that fancy boat, but they were the closest without going over it.

Honestly I believe the Japanese side of the story. After watching last season of whale wars when the sea shepard rammed a japanese ship and then tried to blame them I just can't believe what they say.

It's clear from the video that the Japanese whaling vessel turned into the boat.

It looks like the sea shepard ship is moving and not stopped like they said they were, so turning to where they are coming from makes sense to try and avoid them.

I'm not a captain but it does appear the larger whaling vessel turns sharply into the smaller boat. I'm not defending either cause, just making an observation based on the video.

I watched the one you posted, and really they make a habit of cutting off the japanese ships so this really isn't a surprise.

I think Whale Wars is a load of shit, simply because it does not depict whales at war.

I am not gonna name the boats for the sake of argument to describe the video for those who are still confused. Big boat is in motion going straight, Batboat isn't moving. Big boat fires water cannons at little boat and makes sharp right turn towards batboat. Batboat gets run over as Big boat keeps using water cannons. Pretty obvious, big boat not a batman fan.

I think I like this view better. Has music and the batboat in action, this is Big boat view...

Damnit! I was going to make that joke..

I side with the whalers. Who are we to tell them how to live? These probably are the same people who would protest their civil liberties being violated if someone said they can no longer eat tofu or something. Come on whalers take a few more of these hippies out!

I have no sympathy for these, or really any other, activists. They go out picking fights and cry and bitch when a fight comes to them. They get what they deserve.

Regardless of how ethical whaling is or isn't, these are still people simply doing their job and making a living for themselves and their families. I'd be inclined to fuck someone up if they were keeping food off of my table too.

    Besides, whale is delicious.

Whales are the shit, but Whale Wars sucks. I expected more whales beating the shit out of other sea animals in an aquatic version of Russel Crowe's "Fightin' 'round the World!"

agreed. If you have a tree to cut down and a protestor is chained to it... go through the protester. Get the chainsaw a foot or two from them and they'll rethink their idea.

It's not really Whale Wars, until I see a fully armored Blue Whale get taken out by an Orca with a Narwhal launcher.

Unrelated note: Firefox's spell check knows Narwhal, but not Orca? WTF?

In the end, the whalers give up and move to North Carolina.
