Hey gang! Picked up a TFA Soundwave about an hour ago, I'm likin' him!!:D

Laserbeak, however, is full of suck!! So to help reduce the amount of suck, I gave him a neck! Took, like 30 minutes max, but a big improvement!!:thumbs2:

Which begs the question : Why didn't Has/Tak do this in the first place!!:banghead:

    Enjoy!!--BH

Hey Anovasinn, No sweat!! Anything else I can do to add to your Soundwave custom!!:lol
I just threw the part together out of some 2mm styrene sheet stock. 2 small pieces glued offset to each other, and a little brass rod stock for the pins! :thumb  Easy as pie, I did it so quick I never even made a note of the dimensions! I recall the width is 8mm for the part closest to the body, and 6mm for the part that joins the head!:thumb

That's just phase 1 for me, too. Still got some tricks up my sleeve!!

No, it's animal cruelty For Has/Tak to build him sucky!:lol  I mean what would it cost, like half a cent to do what I did?:lol

    Nice job! I'm sold.

Dang... I've got a dremel, and styrene... I need to get me some wire for making pins for this kind of thing.

To answer your question, budget. Hasbro has a set budget they allow for each figure so that they'll be able to have the appropriate profit margin when its available for purchase. :)  nice neck, btw.
