The more I think about it, the more I'm pretty sure that RID was the only time* that the Preds/Decepticons invasion of earth was really treated like an "invasion" with big monster battles in the streets, civillians freaking out, etc.

Forgot it was re 15th anniv for BW. I don't expect it to get the same love it did for the 10th, but it gives me hope for a few offerings...and now I want a BW botcon set (or at least part of one) dangit!

 

Since they've got Sideburn coming out, how about the other Autobot brothers from RID? Perhaps a redeco of ROTF Long Haul with a new headsculpt as RID Scourge.

 

Whatever the theme is, I hope it does not involve a black repaint of the upcoming Generations Laser Optimus Prime figure. That needs to be widely released at retail.

Don't be surprised if they revisit it. They hinted at revisiting SG during a panel at Botcon last year. That continuity is POPULAR among the Fandom.

 

Someone suggested possibly Shattered Glass during the Beast Wars era. What if they sorta merged Shattered Glass with Dawn of Futures Past and did pre-Beast Wars versions of mirror universe evil Maximals and noble Predacons? Imagine the possibilities... the heroic Dinobot falls from grace and turns evil... the diabolical Depth Charge ordered the creation of Protoform X and uses him as his own personal bodyguard/assassin...

 

Very likely, one of them will be G2 Breakdown, since the botcon people have only issued 3 so far...they seem to think we can never get enough of him.
