Daylight Saving Time ends in the UK?

I don't think Daylight Saving Time ends in the U.S. for another while yet...

DST ends a week early for you guys? That's pretty strange. I wonder why that is.

Are you on glue? I hate the winter. Cold frozen lifeless days, followed by long dark ball freezing nights. No thank you. I already yearn for the warmth of spring. Not to mention I will be working nights in Fort Macmurray Alberta this winter. Hello minus 40-50 celcius working temperatures and no sunlight. Maybe that has something to do with it. At least i'll be making muchos cash and take some time off when it's nice in the summer.

Yep, they do that about a week or two earlier than the U.S. I remember that from the time I lived in Germany.

    Sounds about right

Bush changed the date a few years ago to save energy consumption in the US. Not sure if this is the reason why we do it at a different time than other countries, but it sounds logical.

Huh. Until now, I honestly did not know countries other than the U.S. and Canada used DST.

    I still think it's weird.

Hell if I walked into Antartica my balls would be snow balls.

That's interesting, since the whole idea was supposedly started by Ben Franklin as a way to save on lamp oil.
