I've been away from the transformer scene for quite some time now (about 6 months) and am a bit out of the loop in terms of whats new so I figured I'd ask the frequenters around here for some much needed info. The biggest things going on since I was last around, was that there was big buzz about the leader class Starscream that was to be released, and the voyager jungle attack Ironhide as well. They weren't out yet, but had heavy anticipation. Also a big thing was questioning whether or not hasbro would finish some unfinished business. That is to say, finish making the rest of the constructicons from ROTF and to make the yet unnamed third bike Arcee sister. What's the latest on all of these issues and are their any new plans/updates? 3rd movie updates? Thanks.
No more constructicons. Leader SS isn't out. Jungle Ironhide is neat and everywhere right now, but ROTF Bludgeon is the clear winner. Toyfair has a bunch of stuff that's coming out in the News forum.
^This. Plus the 3rd bike's name was confirmed as Elita-1 some time ago and Toyfair just showed it will be a purple and black repaint of Chromia.
That freaking sucks. Oh well, at least there is some good news. So bludgeon is supposed to be great huh?
^^^ Bludgeon is absolutely awesome. First thing you should buy to get back into the game, IMO. Recon Ironhide is also beast.
I still don't understand why everyone is up in arms about a character that appeared for less than two minutes in the movie being a simple repaint...but that's just me. Yes, Bludgeon is a lot of fun.
Go check out all the Toy Fair news. That'll pretty much get you up to speed on the future stuff. It just happened this past weekend. No word on movie 3 stuff. The movie is set to start filming this May, though. Leader class Starscream isn't out yet. "Jungle Attack Ironhide" has since been renamed "Recon Ironhide" and has been out for a couple of months along with his wave-mate Bludgeon. No more Constructicons, though. Repaints of the 3 that were already released? Yes. New mold Constructicons? No. Giftset of EZ-Collection (Legends class) Constructicons that combine? Hells yes. They're out now. Wal-mart exclusive. Elita-1's (the 3rd bike sister) just a repaint of Chromia. And the resulting shitstorm has caused a few threads already.
yup, but there are some movei 3 updtaes, like james avery ahs confirmade that he will play silverbot, and tony todd confirmade that he is voing i ntf3 again
Bludgeon is cool, but I'm a little more into Recon Ironhide. Maybe that's because he's the first movie version I bought. Both are a lot of fun.
Ohh, ohh, pick me!! That is Black Alternity Megatron. And since you've been gone, there is a scheduled future release of Hasbro MP Grimlock. Sadly still, no Leader Blackout.
