I seen that from another forum. Thats pretty interesting though that they would chose such a character but I know Lucas I doubt will let it happen.
My thoughts as well, if was just pictures in the various arenas and stadiums id think he would not have a problem but the merchandising cash makes it tricky!
Yep it does grimlock1972. I don't think it would matter to have it posted a few places but IF it got word back to Lucas licensing I would think they would seriously run into problems with merchandizing it.

I never considered Colonel Reb to be racist image. I considered it a part of Southern Culture. I once gave my mother's step dad a Ole Miss cap with Colonel Reb on it and he was from Mississippi. When he died, my grandmother gave the cap back to me.
(*^_^*) On a side note, in elementary school our mascot was a pirate parrot. He was a green parrot, who's chosen profession was that of a high seas pirate. I always thought that was kinda bizarre.
Actually Lucas ain't that bad. He let's a lot of the fan movies remain in Youtube and celebrates creative playing with Star Wars Universe in different ways. Especially if it's education-related.
