i think what's most impressive to me is how much worse it looks than i actually envisioned.

This will be the first and only SWTF I buy. He will be in vehicle mode most of the time.

Sweet mamma jamma! That rocks. Awesome headsculpt.

    Who'd'a thunk he'd have a cloth cape? Not I, says I. But it's neato.

Definitely not. It shares no parts with Primus.

Hm. Maybe I'm just not enough of a Vader head to fully give myself over to the charm of this figure, but I'm a little disappointed. I think I like Primus a lot more. I don't like the way the outer shell portions of the Death Star just kind of fold up on his arms and legs... he doesn't seem integrated at all, so much as just a big, thick shell-former.

Also, aside from the resemblance to Vader, I'm not crazy with the simplified retro-robot styling on the body... those big circular joints and stuff are pretty dorky looking. Or maybe, since it's StarWars, the retro look fits?

Oh wait... could it maybe just be that the idea of Star Wars vehicles transforming into giant robot versions of StarWars characters is only slighltly less dorky than having an Optimus Prime that transforms into a sneaker?

That'd be easy. Just include a box of confetti with the darth/deathstar with Alderaan written on the box.

    Sweet.

Well, I know what this is gonna be - this is gonna be my post-BM Megatron.

You know, supposing that he in fact merged with Cybertron's core and reshaped the planet into a TRUE warworld.

Still, I thought I was off SWTFs after getting the Imperial Shuttle - guess I was wrong.

Still, it's got waaaay too many paint apps for a prototype, which are generally devoid of paint apps.

Is that a storm trooper in that little window?...and someone else in the other shoulder window? Forgive my typing. I've been up late, but my goodness... That looks fantastic. Cheesy as all heck, but a must-have. I wonder if that's supreme sized. ::falls asleep:: Must look at this more closely tomorrow...

That looks dangerously close to acceptable!

So far the only toy half-close for me was the ARC-170.
