The turn around and fan feedback that Transformers was receiving after it was announced sparked another genre push. I wouldn't be surprise if in the next two or three years, you see a lot of toy movies come out. A Gi-Joe movie, and the like. Kinda like when LOTR came out; Narnia, Eregon, and others followed suit.

Bratz doesn't have a picky fanbase, though. At least, not that I know of.

I've seen the commercials for it, still looks stupid to me. I'm not really that surprised it took this long, since they couldn't make CGIs as realistic as this back then, and if they did, it'd look as fake as the AT-ATs in the original Star Wars

I think also they are pushing the 80's brands now because we grew up with the products, now we have money and some of us kids. Why not try and get us to rebuy our childhood for nostalgia or to pass on what we loved as kids to our kids.

I can speak personally in saying I am buying all the toys I wish I had when I was a kid.

What could you even make that movie be about? I might have a clue...

    !WARNING! BAD IDEAS! WARNING!

It's about some chicks who go to the mall, getting dressed up, and one of the chicks finds this guy at the mall that they instantly fall in love with. She finds out they go to the same school and she tries to win his love. High-five. Tacos rule.

    It's basically another teen movie.

anyway, it had me WTFing and ROFLing at the same time because it looks so fucking stupid.

See, this is the thing with toylines such as Bratz, GI Joe and Barbie - once you make them into live action movies, there is really nothing to differentiate them from the other teen/action movies.

You are right. But GI JOE can be made different than other action films, if they want to. You can always make some story about crumbling geopolitical circumstances, ala Command and Conquer / Red Alert PC games franchise.

But there is only so much you can do with a teen girly movie.

    Let's see here...

Transformers: Giant alien, shapeshifting robots, figting each other on earth for whatever reason.
Conclusion: Works very well as an action movie!

GI joe: Don't know much more about it other then there's the good guys VS theese "cobra" dudes... figting each other.
Conclusion: It's a stretch but it should work as an all action movie.

Bratz: What the hell is the bratz line about?! Spoiled teenage girls? little Paris Hilton wannabees?
Conclusion: THIS MOVIE IS ALL ABOUT SELLIN STUPID DOLLS!

It wouldn't surprise me if some parent get's TFs banned cause they're "too violent for her two year old son" but Bratz which is all about beeing spoiled and having pets as accesories is just "cute".

    The world is f*cked upp

To be perfectly honest I am really pleased they left it until now because for this movie to really work then needed the best CGI Software to make realistic graphics and I must say that there are no flaws I can see.

Voltron took even longer (Since G1 had Transformers the Movie in 1986 and Voltron died), but they are doing what sounds like an awesome movie for it too. Big bots / 80s seem to be the theme. I also heard a rumour for a Thundercats movie as well.

arent we all forgetting that there was a movie in 1986 that a had an all star cast and was on in cinemas and everything..

just because it was animated dosnt make it any less of a movie. i know were talkin live action but i think if theyed have had the technology back then they would have done it live action personally im glad it took this long or it would have been s#1t god knows i was worried with this one!!1

this movie gives me shivers and seems to be rippoff from that "school-bi-otches" that had that lindsey lohan before she got thin and loss her beauty.
