I thought Bay was against filming that kind of red because it "bleeds" the screen or something?
Um...Wow? I don't really know how to respond to this thread? Spam or? :S
Ferraris are red. Just like Bumblebee is yellow, Megatron is evil, and Optimus Prime dies. It just is.
Legitimate thread. The reason given for Prime's blue flames and Ironhide's being black was because red is a hard color to film.
if it literally just hit you, you need to see the doctor, getting hit by a car is not good, even if it is an intresting tidbit for discussion
Well with those damn over saturated colors he uses, it's kind of normal it "bleeds" the screen, not to mention our eyes after spending 2h+ watching those movies!
So maybe this means: We won't see much of the Ferrari
I would suggest a bit mod to the title, but I get your point. If red is difficult for filming, how then will "hot-rod" turn out? (well, who really knows the name of this neat car as of yet )
Perhaps with the advances in technology, Bay is not finding it as difficult to film/render as it was previously?
Could also be part of the deal with Ferrari to use their car, has to be in signature red, or they don't get the car at all.
That's a pretty solid idea actually.
Looking at the entire body of work and history that is Bay's transformers its pretty much tell us anything that makes an excuse for him to do what he wants in his films. Number one reason why red doesnt matter so much is because for prime he barely stays in truck mode long enough for it to be a filming issue.
Its simple Ironhide is black because he wants it black and the blue flames are there cause he wants blue flames. If they guy wanted anything to be red it just will be ....... um like a ferrari.
Sideswipe is silver because thats the color of the concept car and that may actually have not been his choice but what he was stuck with to get that concept car in the movie.
I dont know why we would ever believe holly wood folk on topics like these.
This occurred to me pretty early on upon seeing the car...I am not a Bay hater, but he's proven over the course of the past few years making these movies that you can't take a thing he says at face value. So I was somewhat surprised at first but ultimately...meh. Red's my favorite color, I get to see a live action Transformer that's my favorite color. Yay.
Hmm... interesting point... maybe the car is part of the misinformation campaign and it isn't really being filmed?
Well Mudflap was reddish and so was Scavenger/Demolishor so I guess it isn't that much of a concern...
Did you say "Hot Rod"? Maybeeeeeeeee
wow welcome to the world.......
...Please tell me that you are joking.
Bay says what he wants at the time to get his own way. Then later when he wants to do the thing he said wouldn't be good for whatever reason he just makes up a new excuse for why it can now be done.
Both Ironhide and Optimus can't be red because having two red vehicles would confuse the audience. Regardless that one is a big truck and the other not and you'd have to be really stupid to confuse the two. But it's okay to have several silvery Transformers because no-one will get those mixed up at all.
