Hi guys and gals. Some of you have met my little monkies at the last few Botcons. Well, last night, my younger took a spill off the monkey bars and broke his right forearm. Both bones. Spent most of last night and part of today at the ER and the Ortho's office. They're setting it in the morning. Please keep the little guy in your thoughts and prayers for us. Thanks.

PS: Sale thread impending. Gotta love insurance deductibles.

My brother had the same thing happen to him when we were kids.

At least you're a great parent. I was the horrible big sister who laughed her ass off as her little brother lay in pain in the sand.

Usually I'm pretty stone faced and can keep my cool about stuff. This time is was all I could do to not freak out. It made me physically sick to look at his arm. It has a VERY unnatural bend about 1/3 of the way from his hand to his elbow. I still can't look at. At least it's something won't require pins and screws and all that.

My nephew broke his leg really badly a few years ago. It was a bad time for him, but he recovered. Your kid will too. I wish the best for him. I hope it didn't hurt too much.

I am amazed that with all the stoopid things that I did as a kid that I never broke anything. Well except for my brother's collarbone...

    UPDATE:
Back home from the hospital. Bones are set with his arm in a splint. Goes back for a check next Friday. If all's well, he gets a cast then. Thanks to all the well wishers!
