I quite enjoyed Battlefield Earth. And I still consider Batman Begins and The Dark Knight to be ponderous rubbish.

Since this is the second TF film I find myself comparing it to the first film more than against other films of it's genre. To me it just fell flat when compared to the first one. I enjoyed parts of it for what it is, but if I was to rewatch one of them, it would be the first movie for me.

All the Kings Men: A Dungeon Siege Tale. Nuff Said.

No way Transformers could ever be that low. I mean its was cheesy. kinda bad, but still. And plus, its a toy commercial movie. It was made for the fans. He didnt go into this project thinking it would be his ticket to the Oscars. But DAMN THAT POLAR BEAR!

A movie should be as good as it can be within the budget and time constraints - unfortunately ROTF wasnt as good as it had the potential to be. Stating that there are worse films out there isnt really an excuse.

But there aren't enough threads in the world to express how bad Pootie Tang was...

Don't worry, I liked Battlefield Earth too. Though I did like the last 2 Batman movies, I thought they could have done way better than Bale. His Batman voice sucks. Someone here once likened it to a Death-Metal singer...

    Thank you!

I just don't get wtf he's doing there. I understand Batman's a dark persona lurking in the shadows driven by a need for justice & retribution, even vengence, but its hard to take it seriously when what should be a low, thoughtful, onminous tone is replaced by scratchy, throat grumbling bad attempt of a monstery voice. I mean I like Bale, but that damn voice..

He's disguising his voice. Why is that so difficult for people to grasp?

Anyhoo, you know a film is awful when even people who liked it resort to saying "It's not as bad as Plan 9 From Outer Space."

It's not a matter of not being able to grasp, it's a matter of the choice they went with for the disguise.

What would you have preferred? A Mickey Mouse impression?

Yes, Sledge, when I stated clearly just a couple of posts earlier that imo it "should be a low, thoughtful, onminous tone", instead of a "scratchy, throat grumbling bad attempt of a monstery voice", I totally meant he should sound like Mickey Mouse.

    Thank you for getting me.

Yes, because we all know people want to see some fat guy with a bad italian accent say "MAMA MIA!" for an hour or 2 while eating mushrooms and jumping on badly done CGI turtles..

I thought that it sounded like Batman had to take a dump or something but he forgot to put a Bat Flap in the costume. One of those things I had to laugh about with the recent movies.

Although now that you mention it they should do a Halloween episode of Metalocalypse where Nathan Explosion dresses up as Batman.

Also, with batman's voice, i too think it was somewhat awful. At least talk that way when you are with criminals and bad guys, not when you are with people like James Gordon, Harvey Dent, and other good guys. Disguise it so they don't know you sound like Bruce Wayne, but make it confident.

True, his voice similarities had echoes of Clarke Kent's spectacles 'disguise'.
