Is THS-01 really that tough to find?

I have no problems getting THS-02, but is eBay pretty much my only route towards finding a new THS-01? If anyone's bought one recently, what would you say is a reasonable price for it now?

I know there's one place in SoCal I can likely find it, but it's too big of a risk for me, considering a) I'd have to drive nearly 100 miles, on a weekday no less, and b) I'm pretty sure I'd be getting absolutely shanked on the price.

I always seem to get into the really awesome TFs a few months after they're somewhat readily available. :(

THS-01 is pretty old now, so that'd be why you're having a hard time finding him. Unfortunately not much else I can suggest.

Last one I saw was about $75, considerably more than 02 which can be found for $50.

THS-01 ended up being pretty hard to find aftermarket in comparison to THS-02 for some reason. I got mine in February for around $30 on Ebay, you just need wait around on one to show up. Vigilance is key.

Ths 01 didn't sell as well and was only produced in one wave. Ths-02 sold out and they had to do more than one production run. Since it sold out retailers ordered more. I want a Ths-03 those little guys rule.

Yeah, from what I understand, THS-01 only had one run.

But yeah, my luck may be on my side, because I e-mailed a local anime store about whether they carry TFs, and apparently they have a decent selection of import TFs that just might include any of the THS figures.

I guess then my only problem would be how much they've jacked up the price. I suppose I'll find out tomorrow.

'Course, the easiest way to obtain THS-01 for a decent price would've probably been at Comic-Con, but like I said before, I always seem to find out about particular toys right before I have an excellent opportunity to purchase them.

Someone had one up for sale in the Junkion... and it went for $40. I picked mine for about that price shipped.

The nice thing is.. eBay usually has one or two, but the price is considerable.

I'm with the vote of vigilance, but sometimes it gets frustrating!

Was THS-01 even all that popular? I mean, did it really offer all that much in contrast to the regular Galaxy Force Convoy?

Not really, aside from extra hands. It's cute though. I got one a little while ago for over $100 off of eBay. Little bastard's hard to find on there for less than $150 unless you get lucky, or at least that was my experience while searching for him.
